A warm welcome to Progessive's Discussion Forum.
This Forum is open to Masons of all persusions as well as non-masons who wish to find out more about Freemasonry. Please try to respect each other's opinions!
Please take the time to read the guidance below as this will hopefully help you to enjoy your time here.
Forum Guidance: Please read before posting!
While the owners of Progressive do not wish in any way to censor the honest opinions of members posting to the Forum, the following has been decided in order to ensure a sensible, respectful and harmonious atmosphere for the discussion of masonic and related subjects or issues.
Moderators
The Moderators are empowered to delete, move or edit postings, which they consider to be abusive or posted in the wrong topic, or those which do not add anything of substance to a particular discussion. The poster will be informed of the action taken via the message service if time permits or will make a “warning” posting
in the topic if multiple posts need to be edited/removed.. If a member or members’ postings are in need of continuous editing/moving they will be removed from the list of members.
Relevence to Freemasonry
Please try to ensure that you illustrate the "masonic" relevance of your posts. Also, try to keep on-topic and if a discussion raises another question for you, please post it as a new topic. This prevents new questions being missed by Forumites who may have already said all they want on the initial discussion.
Posting URLs to the Forum
This site has an indexed Links page, please do Not post urls into the Forums unless it is to help with answering a specific topic. If you want to draw attention to a site submit it to the Links page using the "add a link" button. A quick look will show you how effective it is. Also do not post "anti" sites, this site's Forum turns up in Google searches and this can attract nutters whose only wish is to disturb the Harmony of our Forum.
Trouble-makers (Trolls)
If you suspect that a Forumite is one of the above please do not engage with them as this only gives them the attention they crave. When you notice one please inform one of the Moderators through the message system and they will deal with the person. In the past people have joined the Forum and have had a very skewed idea of Freemasonry and have appeared to be trolls only to turn out to be just misinformed. So please do not start a “Flame
